Ginko is a fairly tall, broad-shouldered man with pale skin and shaggy white hair. Jagged, pale green crystals similar in appearance to chrysoprase grow from his skin, particularly on his back, shoulders, and face, and thick white fur grows on his back and outer arms and legs; a few scars, most notably the remains of a knife wound on his right side and a bite on his left shoulder, can be seen on his torso. Several of the smaller crystals on his back are also surrounded by scar tissue, as if they were removed not-very-efficiently at some point (they were). All this has been much more easily visible since he gave up entirely on trying to wear shirts. Ginko has four short, rough green horns on his head, and his lower canines have elongated into tusks that stick out of his mouth, while his ears have grown long and pointed (and routinely move in response to his emotions, regardless of whether he wants them to). His right eye is bright green, while the left, usually covered by his hair, shows a goat-like horizontal pupil, a similarly green iris with no visible sclera, and off-white mottling. He has a long tail, mostly covered in short white fur, except for a tuft of longer, thicker fur on the end. His fingernails and toenails have been replaced with sharp green claws, and there is a silver mark in the shape of a stylized catfish on the underside of his left forearm. On fog days, Ginko becomes significantly larger and bulkier, ending up a full eight feet tall when standing upright, though his posture is usually somewhat hunched-over thanks to the increased weight of the crystals on his back. His entire body is covered in thick white fur, and his face forms a short, blocky muzzle with unusually pronounced tusks. Both his eyes look the way his left eye does on regular days, and he has large, paw-like hands and feet with rough pads and unusually large, craggy claws. MONSTER ABILITIES ENHANCED STRENGTH/DURABILITY Ginko is a few times stronger than a human would be, as well as capable of taking considerably more damage. SIZE-CHANGING Capable of growing up to 20 feet tall and potentially staying that way for up to an hour per day, though the process is uncomfortable and he doesn't much like to do it. MIMICRY Able to alter his appearance to look like any person/monster he's seen; the change is purely illusory and has no effect on actual abilities. Like the size-changing, can last for up to an hour. BERSERKER STATE Essentially just dropping all control and letting troll instincts take over; can happen automatically if he goes too long without feeding. Usually behaves based purely on aggression, with little to no regard for his own safety or that of any allies around him. Another thing he doesn't like to do, for obvious reasons. HEAT-BASED VISION While his right eye works about the same as a human's (albeit more sensitive to light), his left eye "sees" heat signatures, and is particularly sensitive to the heat given off by living beings. CONTROL OVER ROCKS Theoretically, trolls can move boulders around with ease. So far, Ginko can shift some rocks around a little. MONSTER WEAKNESSES PEOPLE-EATING Every so often, Ginko needs to eat human flesh or he'll lose it and start attacking anything that moves. Simple as that. AGGRESSION Being a troll means wanting to punch things, a lot, for just about any reason, whereas Ginko himself has no particular interest in punching anything or anyone ever. As a result he will experience occasional bursts of aggression that he literally has no idea what to do with, which can result in anything from yelling at someone he didn't mean to, to getting in fights that he doesn't want. SUN SENSITIVITY Direct exposure to sunlight saps Ginko's energy, and the light itself hurts his eyes; short-term or weaker exposure just leaves him tired and uncomfortable, but if he ends up in stronger sunlight for a longer time, he can end up sick and exhausted, potentially to the point of passing out. OTHER ABILITIES MEDICAL KNOWLEDGE Ginko will be the first to tell people that he's not actually a doctor, but he does know how to patch up injuries decently. HERBAL KNOWLEDGE This is a little closer to his actual job. Ginko has a pretty good bit of knowledge about uses, particularly medicinal uses, for various plants (and is actually more comfortable with those than with more modern remedies).

Following a deal with Tikbalang gone wrong, Ginko is currently a nymph. Some aspects of his appearance remain the same - he's still about six feet tall and has some muscle, but he's not as muscular as he was as a troll. He still has one green eye, though now with a lighter green sclera, but his heat-sensing eye is gone, replaced with a cluster of moss in his eye socket (not usually visible). He has thick, shaggy hair made up of white willow and ginkgo leaves, with a single flower resembling the usobuki mushi from his homeworld. His ears are still pointed and mobile and resemble leaves; most of his skin is pale green, with a few darker green splotches scattered here and there. His feet resemble roots, with the coloration on his fingers and "toes" fading to white toward the tips.

Ginko has a long tail resembling a fern, which curls into a fiddlehead in response to stress. His back is covered in a variety of plants, including moss, fiddleheads, morning glories, and sakura branches. Ten thin vines resembling mugura extend from his back; they can be clustered together into two separate sections, but he usually keeps the individual vines wound around his waist, under his shirt (though they do tend to poke out and try to touch any living things in the vicinity).
