<GINKO> okay, i think that worked?
<GINKO> i think so. looks like it did.
<GINKO> anyway, there we go. let me know if you need something.
<EPSILON> Dec. 2
Ginko, do you know a man named Norman Osborn?
<ginko>
<EPSILON>
I'm not entirely sure how to say this.
There's a new town.
He calls it Concordia.
I wasn't aware, but...
It seems Tikbalang can be asked to grant any number of wishes.
<ginko>
bought a town?
that's certainly new.
<EPSILON>
He's invited me to live there.
<ginko>
and Ginko still has no idea who was responsible for his attacking Epsilon that one time. And so far as he knows Epsilon doesn't really have anywhere else to go.]huh. are you going to take him up on it?
<EPSILON>
Yes.
Although I'm worried about it.
It was very generous of him, and I believe his intention is honest.
But I'm not sure I want to involve myself in what he's building.
<ginko>
<EPSILON>
He calls the town Concordia.
I don't suppose you speak Latin. Briefly, it means 'Harmony.'
He wants to provide a unified community for monsters.
But he also wants it to provide a unified front from which to oppose the gods.
<ginko>
that seems...
well. i suppose i can see why he would want to do that, but it seems like there are a lot of ways it could go wrong.
<EPSILON>
So can I.
And apparently, so can he.
He said he wanted someone who would 'speak against him.'
So here I am.
<ginko>
but you're still not sure?
<EPSILON>
Well...
I've never been fond of politics.
But it is a generous offer.
Henry's warned me about the winters here.
There's a saying about beggars being choosers.
<ginko>
...and that too, for that matter. might as well take what you can get.
if you're really not comfortable with the idea, though, then you're always welcome to stay here.
[As if Ginko actually has room to house someone else, but why would that ever stop him.]
<EPSILON>
I'm sure my discomfort is more of a personal problem than a justified concern.
But thank you.
I do appreciate the offer.
<ginko>
in the meantime, good luck with the town situation.
<EPSILON> Dec. 9
Apologies for the sudden message, but
Would you be interested in coming out here for a visit?
<ginko>
sure, why not. where is it, exactly?
<EPSILON>
I'll send you the specifics.
I'll tell you ahead of time that it's a very quiet place.
Though I don't imagine it will stay that way for much longer.
<ginko>
[action]
Hey, Epsilon.
[action]
He isn't always the most comfortable with it, but then again, he has nothing to hide; even the reasons for it to give him pause don't exist any more.
And he's finally getting used to that.
He gives a wry smile.]
Welcome to Concordia.
[He'd bow, but that might be a bit much, even for him.]
no subject
...Seems like a nice place. I'm glad you asked me to come out here; probably wouldn't have thought to otherwise.
no subject
It seems a lot of people haven't really thought to--yet.
[And Epsilon has no problem with that. Which probably surprises no one.]
Norman is very interested in changing that, though.
[That said...]
This isn't a sales pitch, mind. All things being equal, my preferences are probably not the same as yours.
no subject
[He gives a soft huff.] I suppose it probably has more appeal for me now than it will with a greater population. Don't know if you feel the same or not.
