I can do bridges. [That needs to be known, okay, he has crossed so many bridges in his life. The fact that he has to steel himself for them doesn't mean he can't do it!!]
[When Hector arrives, Ginko is sitting outside the cottage, fiddling with the fringe of his poncho with his remaining hand. His arm and the dressing keeping it protected are hidden under the heavy fabric; the extra layer kind of feels like it adds another level of security, if he's honest, even if the way the fabric weighs against his arm is kind of strange.]
[Chip keeps up just behind Hector, watching him more than where they're going to be sure Hector doesn't fall apart. So it's not until he shouts that they actually take a close look at Ginko and their hands fly up to their mouth in horror. Even without saying anything, their expression probably says enough as it is.]
[Ginko pushes himself to his feet when he sees Hector approaching, and-- shit, he looks like a mess. What the hell is he doing going anywhere?
Too bad Hector starts scolding him first, and ah shit there's the kid. Ginko winces, glancing between Hector and Chip, and his reply is defensive before he puts any other answer together.] There wasn't really a way to bring it up gracefully-- [Alright he should probably try to say something even slightly comforting.] --It's being treated, I'm alright.
[Well, he's not yelling at them, so it's mostly okay. Plus the whole 'holy crap that guy doesn't have an arm' thing is a lot of a distraction.]
[Mention of an infection knocks them out of their shock, though, and Chip looks around as if a CVS or something will spring into existence before pulling off their bag to start searching through it.]
It's not-- [Oooh goddammit. He gestures hurriedly at them both with his good hand.] --It's not going to get infected, it's being treated. [REALLY emphasizing that part.] It's clean and covered, and I'm going to stop by the clinic again later.
[He adds more gently, specifically to Chip,] I appreciate it, but I don't need anything right now, okay?
[He glances backwards at them and... forces himself to calm the heck down. Kid. Right. Deep breathes.]
Ay, I suppose--what do I know about medicine? As long as you don't fall in a mud puddle or something. [But. But!!] You could have been a little more specific, though.

[He, on the other hand, weighs practically nothing and can't drown. Totally safe!]

But, I do appreciate it. I'll wait outside.

Once he's close enough to pick up on that little fact... well. He stops dead, flings his arms out, and shouts his 'lungs' out.]
Your arm--what--your arm!! For the love of god, Ginko!! Were you going to say anything?!
suddenly, baby!

Yes, but what happened?! You can't go walking around! What if you get an infection?
[There are medicines and things that became common after he died... but does anyone on Enso have any now that the Bagface is gone?]
