OPEN RP POST (wip)
This is a general catch-all post for anyone who wants to thread with Ginko in his original setting - or at least something resembling it. Want to play an AU? Post-jamjar? Unexpected interdimensional travel? It's all good! In addition, if you want to thread something with mushi and such but in a more modern setting, I'm totally open to modern-day AU's. I'm fine with prose, brackets, whatever.
Please note that I'm totally open to using this post for action, fluff, whatever, but not smut. If you have any additional questions about the setting or types of mushi, just message me on this account!
(here's a placeholder for if i ever get around to putting actual prompts on here)

There's a moment of silence, and Frisk tugs their hand free of Ginko's. They shouldn't have said that. "My head starts hurting."
no subject
His fingers curl uncertainly as he thinks over the two possible topics to go over... but one seems less likely to upset them. "Does it feel like a pressure headache or something else?"
no subject
Frisk takes off running up the path--there's still a ways to go to the branching point, and they don't want to talk about this any longer. It's like the strange lady all over again, and they don't like it.
no subject
"Sorry. You... don't have to go anywhere." Even though he's more than a little concerned about this kid by now. "We can talk about something else."
no subject
"...okay."
no subject
"You've mentioned mushi... how much do you know about those?"
no subject
"They're kinda funny, and you sa--...um, people can get sick if a bunch of them are around?" Shoot, they've gotta be more careful about that.
no subject
"That's right... and the first part, too, I suppose." He follows their gaze upward, watching impassively as the mushi drift after them. Not nearly enough to be concerned about. "Did someone tell you about them?"
no subject
Those two things aren't necessarily related, but it's a convenient enough way to deflect suspicion.
"Do you watch them, too?"
no subject
"Yes... it's part of my work. I have to observe them to understand them."
no subject
Frisk is quiet for a few moments, looking around, then points to a fat, eel-like mushi clinging to a branch. "That one kinda stings if you touch it."
Helping!

"Um...! Oh, that one made me really sleepy once. I didn't hafta wake up again, but I don't pet them anymore."
no subject
"You... you know, it's not really a good idea to pet them to begin with. And what was that about having to wake up?"
no subject
Why is he so worried about them waking up? Well, they told him this last time so it's okay. "I fall asleep sometimes, and then I wake up and it's okay again."
no subject
"What's okay again...? You mean, you fall asleep after something bad happens?" That's his best guess from what he's heard. Maybe he can start piecing together some kind of explanation.
no subject
Another shrug, and Frisk runs up ahead to grab some berries off of a bush. "Sometimes. Other times I just wanna wake up again, so I do."
no subject
"...when you say that you wake up again... do you mean that it's the same as the last time you woke up?"
no subject
"Uh-huh." Frisk comes back over to Ginko with a handful of the berries, holding their hand out to offer them. "Here, you can have some."
no subject
"Thanks." He takes the berries, glancing at them uncertainly - he's willing to assume by now that Frisk knows what is and is not safe to eat here, but he'd rather see if he can identify these himself first. Also, this kid pets mushi, so.
At least he's taking a break from trying to get answers while he sorts out what he already knows here.

He looks up as they wave, then nods and pops the last couple berries into his mouth. "Alright... gotta say, this doesn't look like the path on my map."
no subject
A little ways along, where the path becomes a little more clear, Frisk suddenly swerves off the trail yet again. "This way!"
no subject
"--Whoa, uh... okay." He follows after them the best he can, jolted out of his thoughts again.
no subject
They lead Ginko up the hill, which isn't a terribly hard climb but still enough to leave even Frisk somewhat out of breath once they reach a clearing near the top. Huffing and puffing for a moment, they let out a long breath before spinning on their heel and falling onto their back into the thick grasses.
